Enabling the BEA WebLogic

Enabling the BEA WebLogic service monitor

In order for up.time to collect information from a WebLogic server, the file weblogic.jar must be deployed on the monitoring station.

The weblogic.jar file only needs to be configured once, there is no need to go through the steps in this article again when adding additional WebLogic service monitors.

Supported WebLogic Versions: 8.1, 9.2

To deploy the weblogic.jar file, do the following:

  1. Locate the weblogic.jar file on the WebLogic server.

The file is located in the lib folder in the directory in which WebLogic is installed. For example, on Windows the default folder is:

C:\bea\weblogicXX\server\lib

Where XX is the version of WebLogic supports WebLogic versions 8.1 and 9.2.

  1. Copy the file to the externaljar directory on the monitoring station. You may have to create the externaljar folder in the base installation folder.

For example, on Windows copy the file to:

C:\Program Files\uptime software\uptime4\externaljar
